Last summer, my friend Sarah visited Hainan Island. Before her trip, she learned about local signs to protect its nature.
On her first day at Sanya Beach, she saw signs saying “No Littering.” Though some passengers left smelly trash, Sarah kept her packet of snacks clean. She put rubbish in a bag until she found a bin. She even reduced litter by picking up pieces near her towel!

At a village, signs told guests: “Ask before taking photos.” Sarah asked politely. The local people smiled because she showed respect and honesty.
During swimming in the sea, a teacher said, “Don’t touch anything underwater.” Sarah didn’t touch anything, but only watched the fish. She also swam only near red flags—a safety sign for passengers.
Her trip proved that following signs helps spread good habits in society. “Rules aren’t for fools,” she said. “They’re our responsibility to care for amazing places!”
