On February 6, 2023, a big earthquake hit southeastern Turkey. On Wednesday, a plane carrying China’s rescue(救援) team and tons of materials arrived at Adana Airport. The team also brought four rescue dogs.

An expert from Ankara said dogs show not only a natural ability to find people but also to help and protect them. They can also hear the weakest noise from under the fallen buildings and show the rescue workers where to dig.
For the rescue task, some people in Turkey were deeply moved by the brave work of the dogs. They called them “nameless heroes”.
