【用法】not only...but also...意为“不但……而且……”,在句中做并列连词,常用来连接两个并列成分。当连接两个并列名词或代词做主语时,谓语动词的单复数与but also后的名词或代词保持一致。如：
Jerry can speak not only English but also German.
Not only Jim but also I am fond of swimming.
We go there not only in winter, but also in summer.
