| Level 6 Contributor | Recently I’ve heard about the train pushers in Tokyo. Their job is to push passengers into crowded train cars until the doors can close. I wonder how they work. I don’t want to be part of those being pushed, but I want to watch them at work. At which station should I wait? Thank you! |

| Level 6 Contributor | Here’s how they work: • Making sure it’s safe: They make sure it’s safe for people to get on by blocking (堵住) the way until everyone gets off the train. • Helping people in: They use their hands, hips, and knees to help more people get onto the train. • Letting the conductor (列车长) know: When the train is full and nothing is stuck in the train doors, they let the conductor know it’s ready to leave. |

| Level 5 Contributor | If you are really interested in seeing “pushers” in action, you can try your luck during the morning rush hour at Shinjuku (新宿) station or some other busy stations in Tokyo. I don’t know what you’d do... taking pictures of them? Why don’t you get in the train and experience being pushed in? |
