There is a doctor called Sun Simiao(孙思邈). He lives in a forest beside a mountain.
One day, Sun goes to the mountain to look for herbs(药草). He finds a tiger in front of him. He is afraid. The tiger walks to him. He finds the tiger is thin. "What a thin tiger! Maybe it's ill," says Sun. The tiger opens its mouth and Sun finds a bone(骨头) in the tiger's throat(喉咙). "I should help it," thinks Sun. So he puts a ring(圆环) in the tiger's mouth to keep it open. Then, he puts a hand in it and takes the bone out. He also treats the tiger with some herbs. After doing these, he takes out the ring. The tiger walks away.

Sun goes on walking. On the way, he is tired so he sits under a tree. A tiger walks to him. It puts something in front of him, lowers(低下) its head many times and then walks away. Sun picks up the thing. It's a good herb. And the tiger is the one he has helped.
