Once upon a time, a wealthy merchant(商人) planned a journey to a faraway town. He wanted to trade goods and earn money to buy more things. He decided to take ten servants(仆人) with him. These servants would carry the goods for sale and the food supplies needed for their journey. Just before they set off, a little boy came up to the merchant and asked if he could join them.
