Dear Emily,
How was your vacation to Thailand last week? Did you and your sister see anything exciting there? I'm in Brazil with my parents and my brother Jack now. It's very warm here.
We're staying in a camp near Rio de Janeiro. Every day, we wake up early and leave the camp at 6 a.m. Our guide, Carlos, takes us to some amazing places. Yesterday, he took us to a rainforest. There were many different animals there, like parrots, jaguars(美洲豹), monkeys and toucans(巨嘴鸟). Before leaving, we saw something shocking. Three jaguars came out and started to chase a small deer. It soon fell down, and the jaguars caught it. Jack closed his eyes the whole time because he thought it was too scary.
Tomorrow we're going to watch a traditional Brazilian dance performance. It's going to be so much fun.
