The Nile crocodile is the largest reptile in Africa and the second largest reptile in the world.
It is found in the rivers and lakes of Southern Africa. It can grow up to about six metres long and weigh about 700 kilograms. It has a dark brown or green colour, a long nose, and about 66 teeth. It eats fish, birds, zebras, and so on.
Sadly, the Nile crocodile is endangered because people hunt them for their skins. To protect them, we need to stop illegal hunting, create safe areas for them to live, and teach people about their importance.
By taking these steps, we can help save the Nile crocodile and keep our ecosystem balanced.
