C
[2023河北石家庄质检] There are many kinds of subjects at school. Do you know “labour (劳动) class”? It’s different from other subjects. According to People’s Daily, a study shows that our Chinese primary students only spend 12 minutes a day on housework on average (平均), less than (少于) 72 minutes in the USA, 42 minutes in South Korea and 36 minutes in France. So many schools open “labour class” to help more students live better. I’m very happy to hear that. But do you know what we can learn from it?
We can learn living skills from it. The teacher will teach us some useful skills—planting trees, growing tomatoes, keeping pets and cooking. Maybe these life skills are easy for adults (成年人), but it’s kind of difficult for us to learn them well. At the same time we can also be great helpers for our parents. As we know, our parents are very busy with their work and they are usually tired after a day’s work. If we can take care of (照顾) ourselves well and help them when they need, they will feel relaxed and we will feel happy, too.
