Last summer, I went to a wonderful place—Caka Salt Lake with my family. It is known as the “Mirror(镜子) of the Sky” in Qinghai Province.
When I arrived at the lake, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The lake was like a big mirror on the earth. I could see the blue sky clearly through it. When I stood by the lake and looked out, I could see white salt as far as my eyes could see. It’s hard to tell which was whiter, the salt or the clouds. Near the lake, the salt carvings(盐雕) were the most special things. People couldn’t help taking pictures of them.
Caka Salt Lake was far away from noisy cities, so walking along the lake was a very nice experience. Tourists from all over China come here to relax every year. While I was enjoying the beauty(美丽) of the lake, I noticed something unusual. Most tourists were wearing red clothes. That’s because red is a great colour to stand out against the blue water, and tourists in red could be conspicuous(突出的) in photos.
Caka Salt Lake is a wonderful place. I will never forget this trip. I also can’t wait to visit more places.
