Zhang Guimei was born in a town of Heilongjiang in 1957. As a baby, she was very thin and weak（虚弱的）.
She came to Yunnan at the age of 17. She was very young. She wore a pair of glasses. And she could speak Putonghua very well. She felt very happy.
She studied Chinese in Lijiang in 1988. Two years later she taught with her husband（丈夫）in Dali.
In 1996, she began to teach in Huaping. She worked very hard. She was the first to get to the classroom and the last to leave. She loved her students very much. She did her best to help her students.
Through hard work, she set up（建立）the first free high school for girls in 2008. She didn’t want the girls to leave school. She wanted them to go out of the mountains. With her help, more than 2,000 girls had a good future（未来）.
