What do people all over the world do on their birthdays?
In China, long noodles mean a long life. On birthdays, people eat long noodles in one piece (完整无损地) to wish for a long life.
In Mexico, parents often make a pinata (彩罐) for their children's birthday. They put some candies and toys in it, and then hang (悬吊) the pinata from a tree. Then the birthday child tries to make it open and get the candies and toys.
In Canada, people often put butter (黄油) on the birthday child's nose. It means bad things can't catch him or her.
In the Netherlands, people have "crown (皇冠)" years. If people are 5, 10, 15, 20 or 21 years old, they are in a crown year. The birthday child can get a big gift on a crown year birthday. The family also put some flowers on the back of the birthday child's chair. Is it interesting? So what about your birthday? Can you tell me?
