Being confident isn't just about what you know or think; confidence comes from how you feel in your body too. Do you know how you can become confident?
Your standing posture(姿势)influences how you feel. When your shoulders are hunched(耸起并前倾的)and your head's down, you won't feel well. However, if you stand straight with your shoulders back and your head up, and then move your body with arms by your side and look forwards, you will feel much better.
Your body also talks to your brain a lot. Research has found that body and brain are close to each other. When you stand with your back tall, legs apart, hands on hips and head up, your body sends the message to your mind that you are strong and confident. Think about someone you see is confident: how do they show themselves? Or think about brave or strong movie characters and imagine how they sit, stand or walk. Do the same as they do!
Take a power pose. If you are nervous, you can take a power pose. Sit straight with both feet planted on the ground, and raise your arms above your head. Keep your head up, look straight ahead and smile. Do this for a couple of minutes. Then, you will feel more confident. Try a power pose for minutes before a test. Pay attention to how it makes you feel and how your mood has changed.
