One of the most interesting things I did during winter vacation was doing housework at home.
In order to keep the house clean and tidy, my family did housework every day before the Spring Festival. I swept the floor and took out the rubbish every day. I washed clothes and did the dishes twice a week. I also learned to make dumplings. Doing chores is easier said than done. It was really hard for me to do them well. For this reason, I understand how hard my parents are. They have to do all the chores every day, including cleaning the windows, dusting the furniture, and organising the closets. It's a lot of work, but they never complain. I think we teenagers should do chores at home. It isn't a waste of time. In fact, doing chores helps us develop our independence so that we can take care of our family and ourselves better. It also teaches us responsibility and the importance of maintaining a clean and organised living space.
