Why not find a new friend—yourself! You may want to get love and care from a good friendship. Well, you shouldn’t have to go far to find them.
Loving yourself, also called self-love. Give yourself the love and care you should give your friends and family.
Studies show that self-love is good for your schoolwork, health and friendships. Self-love makes you believe in yourself. It makes you feel that you deserve(值得) good things, such as kind friends and fun experiences. It doesn’t mean you’ll be happy all the time, but when you face difficulties, you won’t upset yourself.
Start by being kind instead of being angry. When you make a mistake, don’t get angry with yourself. Tell yourself that everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Then work out what you could do differently next time.
Remember that no one is perfect. You can write down your strengths to help you remember how excellent you are. Looking at the list often will help bring out the best in you.
