A Special Dish and Memories
“Food is love made real.” That's what my mother always told me. Thanks to her,I have a deep love for a special dish — her tomato-egg noodles. 1
One of my favourite memories is the smell of those noodles filling the kitchen. She always made them on rainy days. 2 The sound of her cooking and our chatting made those days so warm.
My mother learned to make this dish from her mother. 3 Every time she talked about it, her eyes would shine with happiness. When she was a little girl, after playing out-
side in the rain, coming back home to a bowl of hot tomato-egg noodles was the best thing.
