第四部分 书面表达(共两节,满分 30 分)
第一节 阅读表达(共 5 小题;每小题 2 分,满分 10 分)
阅读下面短文,完成短文后的问题。
“Dreams may be more important than sleep. We all need to dream,” some scientists say. During our sleep, we usually have some dreams. On average, a person has about 3 to 5 dreams per night. Dreams take up about one quarter of our sleeping time. Dreams can last for a few seconds to twenty minutes.
Dreams are like short movies. They are usually in color. Some dreams are like old films. They come up over and over again. That may be the dreamer worrying about something. Dreaming may be a way of trying to find an answer.
I had a wonderful dream not very long ago. In the dream, I found myself suddenly able to swim. I swam freely in the sea, where I saw many strange trees and plants I had never seen before. While I was swimming, some brightly colored fish followed me. To my amazement, I found they could talk! So we had an interesting conversation. We became good friends and lived together. On the fantasy land, I forgot all my troubles.
In fact, I forgot that I was a human being. However, this wonderful life didn't last too long, for soon the dream ended and I woke up to face the real world again.
The more we sleep, the longer we dream. The brain is still at work when we dream. That is why we may have a long sleep but still wake up tired.
41. How long can dreams last?
42. How many dreams does a person have per night on average according to the passage?
43. What was the writer able to do in his dream?
44. What followed the writer while he was swimming in his dream?
45. Why do we have a long sleep but still wake up tired?
