A DIY bookmark for my favourite book
Last week I took part in the City Library bookmark-making activity. I made a DIY bookmark for my favourite book, Harry Potter, which is a magic novel. I like the exciting adventures of Harry and his friends most. The purpose of making this bookmark is to help me enjoy reading the book better.
To make the bookmark, I prepared a card, a pair of scissors and some glue. First, I cut the card into a nice shape. Then, I drew a picture of Harry Potter with his magic wand on it. After that, I wrote my favourite sentence from the book, "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." Finally, I used the glue to stick a small ribbon at the top of the bookmark to make it more beautiful.
When I finished making the bookmark, I felt very proud. It was a fun and meaningful experience. Every time I use this bookmark to read Harry Potter, I feel more connected to the story.
