My happy community
In my hometown Huangshan, there are old houses with white walls and black tiles (瓦片). People call them “Hui - style houses” (徽派建筑). Today, our community is having a “Culture Day”.
Look! Grandma Li is telling stories about Hui Opera (徽戏) near the stone archway (拱门). Some volunteers (志愿者) are cleaning the park. My classmates and I are making paper lanterns with dragon patterns. Mr Wang from the community center (社区中心) says, “We keep traditions and help each other. That’s harmony (和谐)!”
