Today's topic is about minimalist living(极简化生活).
We decided to take minimalist living after traveling for two months. During that time, we realized that we were the happiest when we only had a small number of things. Spending time with others was what made us happy, not possessions(个人财产). So, when we returned from our travel, we started some minimalist practices, and we have seen lots of advantages(好处).
The first advantage of minimalist living is that it saves time. I used to have a full closet(壁橱), and it would take me a long time to find what I needed. Then one day, I found that I hardly wore 80% of the clothes in my closet. So, that was when I decided to declutter my closet. I gave away most of my clothes to people who needed them. Now I have a tidy closet, and it only takes me a few minutes to get dressed!
Also, living simply saves us money. I used to feel the need to buy something every time I shopped. I told myself that shopping this way saved money. But in fact, I was just spending more money on things I didn't need. Just something on sale doesn't mean you need it. Now, we only buy things when we need them. Doing that has saved us tons of money. And it has helped us save up for more trips!
