In a big forest, there lived a bear named Ella. She was big and always helped other animals. So all animals liked her. One day, a small ant named Andy walked up to her. "You are really strong. Can I work with you to find food?" asked Andy. Ella laughed, "You're too small! What can you do to help me?" All the animals laughed at Andy. Andy felt sad but said nothing.
That night, a hunter's net trapped (困住) Ella's foot. She tried to pull but couldn't. "Help! " she cried. No animal was strong enough to help—except (除了) Andy and his family. The little ants bit the net, one by one. Finally, after some hours, Ella was free!
"I'm sorry I laughed at you," Ella said. "Small or big, everyone matters (要紧)." From then on, Ella and Andy became best friends.
