Jenny was a thin elephant. One day she cried because the other elephants called her "Skinny (皮包骨的) Jenny" and laughed at her.
Then Jenny heard somebody else crying from behind a tree. She went there and found a very fat giraffe. He cried loudly because the other giraffes around him laughed at him and called him "Huge Hugo".
Hugo told Jenny everything. Jenny forgot how sad she was and got very angry. "Stop it!" she said to the other giraffes. "Leave him alone!" They stopped and looked at her.
Jenny and Hugo ran off. They ran for a long time until they came to a river. Hugo said, "Thank you for helping me." Jenny said, "I know how you feel. Everyone calls me 'Skinny Jenny'. It makes me sad, too."
Nobody wanted to be friends with them, so they decided to be each other's friend. Jenny found that because of Hugo's round (圆的) shape he could swim better than most giraffes. Hugo found that thin Jenny could use her ears to swim.
At first, the other elephants and giraffes laughed at their friendship. But later, they found out that both of them were able to do something for them. The giraffes found that Jenny could bring water to them when they got no water. The elephants found that Hugo could see tigers sooner than they could. They often helped others together.
Now no one laughed at them and many wanted to be friends with them.
