The Browns are very kind and friendly. They give up several hours each week to help others.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown go to the old people’s home on Wednesday and Friday afternoons to look after the old people. They make delicious food for them, talk with them and read newspapers to them. The old people there like them very much. They feel happy to have their company (陪伴).
Their son Max Brown loves animals. When he grows up, he wants to be a veterinarian. He works at an animal hospital every Sunday morning. He believes it can help him get his future dream job because working there, he can learn a lot about animals, such as their living habits and how to look after them when they get ill. Although it is hard work and he sometimes gets tired after working for a whole morning, he feels happy when he sees the animals get better and the look of happiness on their owners’ faces.

Last year, she started to work for an after-school reading program as a volunteer. Now she still works there every Saturday evening to help kids to read. “I’m really happy to help kids read. Reading is important for them”, says Mary, “and volunteering here is a dream come true for me. I can do what I love to do and help others at the same time.”
The Browns think we all should help each other to make our life better and they say they will continue to help others in the future.
