Do you remember(记得)your mother saying “You know those songs very well. I hope you know schoolwork well too.”? The eighth graders of Eben Donges High School in Cape Town,South Africa can tell their mums “Yes!” and it's all because of their Maths teacher Kurt Minnaar,33 years old. He is using his dance moves and rap(说唱)music to help students remember their multiplication tables(乘法表).
Kurt was a hip-pop dancer before he became a teacher. He is now using his music to make Maths fun for children. His classes are often rowdy because students sing and dance together in class. But luckily the teachers in the school don't mind(介意).
“The students didn't listen to me carefully in class in the past(过去). I wanted to help my students learn Maths well and easily. What's better than rap music?” Kurt said.
