How a Colt(雄马驹) Crossed the River(过河)
One day，a colt took a bag of wheat(麦子) to the mill(磨坊). He ran with the bag on his back. Then he came to a small river. He stopped and didn’t know what to do next. Looking around，he saw a cow grazing(吃草) nearby. He asked，“Aunt Cow，could you tell me if I can cross the river?” The cow told him that he could and that the river was not very deep(深的). The colt wanted to cross the river. A squirrel jumped down from a tree and stopped him. The squirrel shouted，“Colt，stop! You’ll drown(淹死)!” The colt was very afraid and he went home to ask his mum.
He told his mum his experience on the way. His mother said，“My child，you’d better go and try it yourself. Then you’ll know what to do. ”
The colt came back to the river again. He crossed the river carefully. At last，he succeeded(成功) in crossing the river.
