三、阅读表达 不同国家的劳动教育
素养:文化意识 难度:中 用时:7 分钟
Students in different countries shared their experiences of labour education.
In primary school, a cooking class teaches simple and safe cooking ways. After we go to middle school, classes like food technology (工艺) and design technology let us learn cooking arts and design.
At my school, design technology, starting from Grade 7, is my favourite. It allows students to try different materials and ways to make things like vases.
Lily, 14, the UK
The UK's labour education pays attention to learning skills. Compared with it, ours focuses on volunteer activities. After school, our volunteer groups will do a lot of things. We often do some cleaning and help the lower-grade students and anyone else in need. We will also hold some charity (慈善) sales to raise money to help the students in poor areas.
Among all the volunteer work, the charity sale is my favourite.
Ian, 15, Singapore
We had been looking forward to that day for months. Early in the morning, together with Ms Yang, we rushed to our campus farm with excitement. Memories (回忆) of our hard work came across my mind — searching for information online, working with teachers and classmates, asking farmers for advice, preparing the soil, planting, watering...
We couldn't wait to pick pumpkins (南瓜). When it was my turn, I checked the colour first. Ms Yang told us the great pumpkins were bright orange. Then, carefully, I cut the stem of the chosen one with a knife. Holding a big one in my hand, I felt a strong sense of happiness. I grew vegetables by hand successfully!
Seeing our smile, Ms Yang said to us, “Labour plays an important role in your lives. ” From that day on, I understood the meaning of labour.
Li Han, 15, China
