时文阅读 On November 12, 2024, at the 15th Airshow China in Zhuhai, a young pilot, Xu Fengcan drew much attention (关注) as one of the few women in this field and many people wanted to take photos with her.
Xu took part in the 15th Airshow China and worked at the Zhi-20 helicopter display (直 - 20 直升机展示) area. She is famous for her great flying skills. She also introduced the same helicopter model to visitors at the last airshow.
Xu was born in October 1999. Both of her parents were teachers, and she did a good job in her studies. Sometimes she finished reading a book in a day. In 2017, she became a student of the Army Aviation Institute (陆军航空兵学院) because she did well.
She faced many problems. For example, she had a fear of heights. Sometimes she was worried because she didn't improve her skills a lot. However, she didn't give up. Through her efforts, she graduated (毕业) from the Army Aviation Institute in July 2021 with top grades. And she became China's first female pilot to fly a combat helicopter alone.
Xu Fengcan's efforts make her a model for teenagers like us. Her story tells us that with our hard work, we will realise our dreams one day.
