4. 状语从句的省略
To prevent soft tissue injury, make sure that you wear proper clothes and equipment when exercising.

(1)在复合句中,当主句的主语与从句的主语一致,且从句中含有系动词 be 时,状语从句使用省略形式,即可省去从句中的主语和系动词 be。
(2)从句的主语是 it,谓语动词是系动词 be 时,可省去 it is/was。
(3)能用于此结构的连词有 while、when、even if、once、if、though、unless、until、as 等。当分词与主语构成主动关系时,用现在分词;当分词与主语是被动关系时,用过去分词。
