五、(2025·晋中市平遥县期末)阅读理解
Recently, the results of the 20th Guangdong Children’s Invention Awards(发明奖) came out. Zhang Xirui from Shenzhen won first prize.
The robot is called “Smart Homework Collection Robot”. It’s a kind of robot working at school. It can “walk” in the classroom and help collect homework. It can also sort the notebooks by subject and send them to different teachers’ offices.
At school, students pass their homework through different hands, from the back to the front of each group, and finally to the teacher. It might sometimes go wrong and take a lot of time. To help with this problem, Zhang made the robot. The robot uses RFID(射频识别) to read information. Each student’s notebook has a special RFID tag with their name and the subject. This way, it can help find and know what it is looking for. Students only need to put their notebooks on the robot, and the machine “sees” the notebook, reads its tag and takes it out of the name list. Teachers can check who hasn’t handed in homework by connecting their phones with the robot.
The robot is Zhang’s second model. He’s planning to make a third one. He hopes to find better ways to “read” students notebooks from far away. That means if you put special information on your notebook, the robot can read it from a lot of notebooks at once. Zhang is excited about winning the prize. He is very thankful to his teachers, and likes to put what he learns at school into use. He has also tried making model planes and other creative things.
“Solving problems makes me happy,” he said.
