My favourite labour course A series of labour courses were carried out recently in our school, ranging from planting vegetables to making traditional handicrafts and repairing household appliances. Sewing is my favourite course, where I have obtained some essential life skills such as sewing a button, knitting a scarf, and making a cushion by operating a sewing machine. It is surely a rewarding experience, which has not only enriched our life but also helped us acquire practical basic life skills. The labour courses have won wide popularity among students and have had a positive effect on the personal growth of everyone involved.

第二节 (满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
[2025福建泉州市期中考试]Every girl dreams and Jenny Green is no exception. She loved music and movements of ballet and read dozens of books on how to be a ballerina (芭蕾舞女演员) but she was a shy child and avoided the spotlight.
When she was 13, she tried to join the training team at her school in San Pedro, California. One day, Jenny’s coach suggested she attend a free ballet class at the Boys & Girls Club, where she often went after school. At first, Jenny felt out of place in the class. She was older than most of the students. And instead of the tights, slippers, and leotards (紧身连衣裤) the other girls wore, Jenny had on a T - shirt, baggy shorts, and sweat socks.
Over time, however, she began to enjoy the lessons. She discovered that her body — especially her long legs and strong, flexible muscles — was just right for ballet. She spent most days twisting, twirling, and leaping. When she wasn’t performing, she was practicing. When she wasn’t practicing, she was stretching. She took classes almost every day and hoped one day her dream would come true.
One day she saw an advertisement that a famous ballet would perform in her hometown. Her thoughts ran wild. " I must meet up with the leader of the ballet and show her my skills," she murmured to herself. She dressed herself in her ballerina costume, managed to escape the guards and hid in the dressing room. Luckily, the leader entered. She bravely approached her and handed her a bunch of red roses.
The leader observed her action as she told her the dream. " Alright, you dance and I will give you my opinions. " But half way through the dance the leader stopped her and said, " I’m sorry your performance is not good enough!"
注意:续写词数应为150左右。

On hearing this, Jenny ran as fast as her legs could carry her and was ashamed. ______
Paragraph 2:
A year later, Jenny heard that the same ballet was performing in her hometown again. ______
Paragraph 1: On hearing this, Jenny ran as fast as her legs could carry her and was ashamed. She felt that all her efforts were in vain. Tears welled up in her eyes as she rushed out. But instead of giving up, she practiced even harder. She knew that she still had a long way to go. She took every class seriously, analyzing every movement and learning from every mistake. She was determined to prove that she could be a good ballerina one day. She practiced early in the morning and late at night, her body becoming more and more flexible and her skills improving significantly.
Paragraph 2: A year later, Jenny heard that the same ballet was performing in her hometown again. This time, she was much more determined. She managed to get a chance to perform in front of the ballet's leader again. She danced gracefully and passionately. After the performance, the leader looked at her with admiration and said, "Your performance has improved a great deal. We are happy to invite you as part of our ballet." Jenny beamed with pride, knowing that her hard work had paid off. She learned that growth and perseverance are as rewarding as achieving the dream itself.
