一、阅读理解
Science and technology make our lives better and better. Here are some inventions. They are cool, but future inventions might be cooler!
Flying Car
Can a cat fly? This one can. Its name is PAL-V. It was made in the Netherlands (荷兰) several years ago. It uses the technologies of a car, a motorcycle and a helicopter (直升机). In bad weather, you can drive it like a car. In traffic jams, you can fly it like a plane. Will people drive it at the bottom of the sea one day?
Talking Robot
Look at this robot. Its name is Nexi. She can move around, use her hands to touch things or even pick them up. She can communicate in many of the ways that we do. For example, she can tell us that she is sad, mad, excited or even bored, just by moving her face. How cool!
Water Clock
This clock doesn’t need a battery (电池). Just fill it with water or lemon juice, and it will work. This is the most environment-friendly clock in the world.
Bed Float
A Dutch (荷兰的) man made it. He put one magnet (磁铁) in the mattress (床垫) and another one in the floor below. They have opposite charges (电极). It can support almost 900 kg. It’s safe to sleep on this floating bed. But watch out if you have anything that is made of iron!
