五、根据材料内容选择最佳答案。
Last week, I visited Rome for the first time. I spent three days in the Italian capital seeing lots of places of interest and walking down the streets. Here are the things that I loved about the city.
Rome is one of the most ancient cities in the world, and it is full of wonderful relics (遗址) from the past. I saw the Roman Forum, an ancient meeting place where people talked about politics (政治) a long time ago. I also visited the Coliseum, a huge outdoor theatre, and it is one of the greatest wonders in the world. The buildings were fantastic. They really took my breath away and I couldn’t tear my eyes away from them.
In Rome, there are different kinds of foods for tourists. I tasted some popular foods there, such as pasta (意大利面) with tomatoes and onions. I also loved eating ice cream and drinking hot chocolate. I found lots of gift shops. I bought a hat for my mother and some nice cards for my friends, but I didn’t buy anything for myself.
I love visiting new places, especially capital cities. Hopefully, I’ll travel to even more capital cities in the future.
