Every year, many people go to Taos, a small town in New Mexico, to listen to a kind of strange sound: the Taos Hum (陶斯之声).
The word “hum” means a low sound that never stops. Why is the sound strange? First, the Taos Hum that people hear is quite different. Someone says it sounds like a little bee flying around you. Others think it sounds like a car moving in a faraway place. Second, nobody knows where the sound comes from. Joe Mullins, a scientist, is one of the first persons to do research on the hum.
