Ⅵ. 任务型阅读。(共 10 分,每小题 2 分)
Many many years ago, fires were made from lightening. But people had to keep the fire burning. Because they weren't able to start it again without lightening. Later, people discovered that two pieces of stones hitting together could make a spark (火花) and it could fire dry leaves. They could make fire again when the fire went out. Before long, people learned to make a fire by rubbing (摩擦), too. A hole was made in a piece of wood and a smaller stick was put into it. They turned the stick again and again. After a while they got fire.
As time went by, people learned other ways to make a fire. At times people used the heat from the sun. They held a piece of glass in the proper way to make a piece of paper on fire.
About 200 years ago, matches were made by people. They brought a quick and easy way to make fires to people.
Today matches are still being used, but more new ways have been found to make fires. One of them is to use an electric fire starter. Maybe an electric fire starter is much more expensive than a box of matches, but it is used much longer and it is more useful.
根据短文内容,回答下列问题。
1. What can spark fire?
2. What could people also get a fire by?
3. How long have matches been used?
4. How did people make a fire by rubbing?
5. What does the passage mainly tell us?
