Ⅱ. 阅读理解 (话题:假期活动)
Chongqing is a beautiful city and people there are friendly. I’m Julie from a middle school in Beijing. Last summer holiday, my parents and I went on vacation in Chongqing. But it was hot and wet in Chongqing most of the time those days. I didn’t like the weather there but I loved the food and scenery.
In the morning, it was rainy. We just stayed at the hotel and I felt really bored because we had nothing to do but sleep and watch TV. Luckily, it stopped raining at noon. So we went out to eat something special for lunch—Chongqing hot pot. It is quite different from Beijing hot pot. The food there is really hot and spicy (辛辣的). After lunch, we went to visit Hongyadong because quite a lot of visitors told us that it was a good place to visit. It was really fantastic! There were lots of old and beautiful buildings along the way and nice food from all over the world. I really wondered what life was like there in the past. I enjoyed walking around Hongyadong because there was so much tasty food there. We tried Chongqing noodles and hot and sour noodles there.
What a wonderful time we spent! I believe Chongqing will be more beautiful and I’m sure I will come back again someday in the near future.
