Ⅴ. 阅读理解
Some people believe that classmates should be similar in personality, while others think classmates should be different. What's your opinion? Should classmates be alike or different?
Lily's opinion
I think a good classmate is like a compass(指南针). Because you can understand a person's learning style by knowing their classmates. My classmate, Alex, is a great example. We often study together because we have similar learning habits and goals. For example, we both like to make study plans. He is better at maths than I am, so he often helps me with difficult maths problems. We are both hard - working. When we are free, we enjoy talking about science books together. I like books about space more, and he likes books about time travel. We often exchange our ideas on these books.
Jack's opinion
I don't agree. For me, classmates who are different make my school life more colourful. I think we should accept(接受) the differences and learn from one another. For example, I am a bit lazy about doing sports, but my best classmate, Lisa, is very athletic. Thanks to her, I started to join some running activities, and now I find it really relaxing. I have another classmate, Tom. He is more creative in art, while I am more traditional(传统的). He isn't afraid to try new art styles, and he always gives me new ideas when we work together. Although we are different, I'm glad to have such diverse(不同的) classmates.
