Ⅴ. 阅读理解
Love in the Hometown
Last summer, my family went on a family trip to our hometown. When we got there, my uncle and cousin welcomed us with big smiles. My cousin was jumping around happily. He ran to us quickly and said, “I’m so glad you’re here!”
My aunt came out of the kitchen. She was busy making traditional snacks for us. “Come in and have a rest,” she said. “The snacks will be ready soon.” In the living room, my cousin showed me his new toys and shared stories about his daily life in the village. He told me about the birds he saw and the funny things he did with his friends.
During the next several days, my cousin took me to play in the nearby river and walk around the village. We had a lot of fun together.
When it was time to leave, everyone was a little sad. My uncle said, “No matter when you come back, this is always your home.” My cousin looked at me sadly and said, “I’ll miss you. Please come back soon.” I nodded with tears in my eyes. Even though we had to leave, the warmth of the family would always stay in my heart.
The love from my family in the hometown made this trip really special, and I will always remember it.
