阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Doing chores is a big part of family life. Cleaning, cooking, and washing clothes are common chores. They help keep our homes running well. But family members often have different ideas about chores. Some think they’re important jobs, while others find them boring.
In this report, we will find opinions of different families about the chores. For example, what tasks they enjoy or dislike, why they believe it is important to do chores, why everyone should do chores.
When we talked to different families, we saw these differences. The Johnsons love cooking together. They think it’s a great way to spend time as a family and try new foods. However, many families don’t like cleaning the bathroom or washing. These chores feel tiring and take a lot of time. Jessica, a mum, said, “I don’t mind washing dishes, but cleaning the bathroom? No way! It’s too much work and never stays clean.”
Even so, most families agree that doing chores regularly is important. Axel, a dad, said, “A clean home is a happy home. If we don’t do chores, things get messy fast.” The Smiths think when everyone helps, the house is cleaner and more peaceful. Samantha Smith said, “Chores help keep our home in order. When everything is in place, we feel better.”
1. What chores can you find in this passage?
2. Why do the Johnsons love cooking?
3. What does Jessica think about cleaning the bathroom?
4. Who should do the chores according to the Smiths?
5. What chores do you like to do? Why do you like doing it?
