五、完形填空。(每小题1.5分,共15分)
I used to have 26 interesting and smart friend Lucy. But I refused 27 with her because she was always complaining! For years, I fought against my feelings, because I really like and respect her, but I have found I just can't be her friend. Her world is 28 of "buts". For example, "The trip was nice, but the drive was 29 long. " I didn't realise 30 her complaints were silently changing me.
Months ago, my best friend May was listening to me complaining about Lucy 31 she got really angry. "Either break up with her, or leave me alone. " She shouted 32 me, "I'm tired of listening to your complaining. " Her honesty (诚实) 33 me, and I began to keep myself away from Lucy. 34, I did forget her.
Now I try to remain happy and positive about life, and find friends of the same. There has been a scientific research showing that people 35 find reasons to be thankful for their lives are actually happier, and I believe that is true. Endless complaining seems to control your life if you let it come into your brain. And too much complaining will actually make your life bad.

National parks give a safe home to plants and animals. They help keep the air and water clean. They are also great places to travel. China now has five national parks. Let's take a look at three of them.
Three-River-Source National Park
Location(位置): Qinghai
Three-River-Source National Park is the largest national park in China. People call it "China's water tower" because it is home to the sources (源头) of the Changjiang, Yellow and Lancang rivers. It is also home to hundreds of animal species such as wild yaks (牦牛) and snow leopards (雪豹).
Giant Panda National Park
Location: Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu
More than 70% of China's giant pandas live there! The park connects 82 small panda homes in these three provinces. Pandas and their "neighbours" can live and play together. Besides pandas, leopards and wolves also live in the park.
Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park
Location: Hainan
As big as 4, 269 square kilometres, it has the largest tropical forest (热带雨林) in China. The forest covers nearly 95. 86% of the park. More than 400 kinds of plants grow only in Hainan.
