B
These days, we often type(打字)on a phone or computer. However, a new study shows that writing by hand helps people learn and remember things better.
Professor Audrey Meer from Norway did the study. She asked people to wear a hat with sensors(传感器)that could show their brain activity. Their brain became much more active when they were writing by hand than when they were typing.
According to Meer, when you type on a keyboard, you just use one movement for each letter. But handwriting is more complicated — you move the pen across the paper, you see the letters you write and hear the sound you make while writing. These things use more of your senses and make your brain more active.
“It’s important to put the brain in a learning state as often as possible,” Meer said. “This helps the brain to reach the full potential(潜能),” she added.
