Ⅲ. Read the passage and finish the exercises.
Welcome to New York City, the Big Apple. It is one of the most exciting cities in the United States. I am Jack Marino, your guide in New York City. As you see, Central Park is a very large park, right in the middle of all the tall buildings. Look at all the people who are walking, cycling, and picnicking in the park. It is really a quiet and relaxing place in New York. Now we are going down Fifth Avenue. New Yorkers love to walk along Fifth Avenue and look in the store windows. There are clothes stores with beautiful dresses and suits, and jewelry stores with diamonds (钻石) and gold. Here we are on Broadway, where you can see plays and musicals. There are many famous theaters right here. When you visit New York, you must go and see a play or a musical. Now we are going by the Empire State Building. From the 102nd floor you can see all up and down the island of Manhattan. It is a wonderful way to see the city. Here is Wall Street, the money center of the United States. It's the heart of American business. The people going along the street look very small with such tall buildings on both sides. And there's the ferry that will take you to the Statue of Liberty. I hope you enjoy your trip in New York City.
