Dear Peter,
Do you remember that we’ve talked about the famous politician Sima Guang? Today, I’d like to tell you a story about him when he was still a child. This story is very popular in China.On one occasion, Sima Guang was playing with his friends in the backyard. There was a large water tank in the yard. As the kids were playing, one child accidentally fell into the giant tank. When the child was drowning, other children were so frightened that they started weeping and crying for their parents. Different from all the other kids, Sima Guang kept calm and picked up a big stone from the ground. He then used all his strength to throw the stone at the tank. "Bang!" the water tank broke. Water flowed out of the tank and the kid was saved.
Sima Guang was a wise man and a good example for us to follow.
