A
Do teenagers in small villages do housework at home? How about the teenagers in big cities? Here is a survey(调查). We asked 4,000 teenagers in China several questions. Half of them come from big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The others are from small towns or villages. Let’s have a look at the result.
We found out that teenagers from small villages do more housework than those from big cities. Maybe it is because they live a harder life. Our advice to parents in big cities is that parents should give their children some housework to do. It can teach teenagers to take care of themselves.

Dear Tony,
I’m glad that you can do the things you like at home. I never have fun, because there are too many rules in my family. I have to get up at six o’clock every morning. And I have to make my bed before breakfast and then go to school. I can’t play with my friends after school because I have to do my homework. After that I have to go to the park for a walk with my dog. After dinner, I can’t watch TV on school nights. I have to play the violin for an hour. I have to go to bed before nine o’clock. I can watch TV only on Saturday nights. On weekends I have to clean my room and wash my clothes. Then I have to go to the Children’s Palace to play the violin. My life is so boring. Can you help me?
