D(2024·重庆期中)
Knowing how to be wise(明智的) with money is very important for kids or teenagers like you. Here is some advice to help you.
Saving Money
Most of you usually get pocket money(零花钱) from your parents. You can use it to buy food, drinks and other things you like. Also, pocket money helps you learn about money management(管理). For example, it is important to save some money. You shouldn't spend all the money you have. Saving helps you learn to make plans and get ready for the future.
Spending Money
I'm sure you really want to spend your money on things like snacks or toys, but you also need to learn how to spend money wisely. That means you should think about the difference between “needs” and “wants” before you buy something. If you can do that, it helps you avoid(避免) buying a lot of useless things.
Making Money
Instead of just asking your parents for money, try to make some money by doing easy jobs like washing the car, making the bed, walking the dog and ▲. This helps you to learn that money comes from working and it doesn't come easily. At the same time, doing some housework builds your body and mind too. This way, maybe you'll think twice before spending your money in the future.
It is not hard to be wise with money. Just follow my advice, and you can learn step by step. Everyone can do a great job if you put your heart into it. Good luck to you!
