五、阅读表达(每小题 2 分,满分 10 分)
阅读短文,回答下面 5 个问题。(每题答案不超过 10 个词)
Do you have to wear a school uniform(校服) every day? Do you enjoy wearing it? Some Australian students are trying to change their school’s dress code(着装规定).
Schoolgirls at Presbyterian Ladies’ College can’t wear pants. They have to wear a knee - length(及膝的) tartan skirt(格子裙) or dress. It’s one of the school’s oldest traditions(传统),dating back to 100 years ago. But the girls want to change this strict rule. They asked the school to add pants as another choice for their uniforms. “We should choose to wear whichever bottoms(下装) we want,” they wrote in a petition(请愿书) on change.org.
Some students think that girls have been held back from(阻拦) joining in sports and outdoor activities because of dresses and skirts. “This kind of clothing is impractical(不实用的) in daily life and girls should feel comfortable when coming to school,” said one student who signed(署名) the petition.
Former New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she understood their feelings. “Young girls should be able to show their views. Speaking up on what you feel strongly about is how you make changes,” she said. The school is now talking about this petition.
51. What do some Australian students want to change?
52. When did the tradition in Presbyterian Ladies’ College begin?
53. What did the students do to change the tradition?
54. Why do students want to wear pants according to Paragraph 3?
55. What do you think of the students in the passage?(请自拟一句话回答)
