新趋势·体现五育并举 The 2024 Chengmai Half Marathon was held in Laocheng Science and Technology New City of Hainan Province. It brought almost 10 000 runners together for the marathon. They ran through Chengmai County which is a place with over 1 000 years of history.
Runners came from different countries and regions,such as China,the United States,Slovakia,the United Kingdom,Australia,Russia,and Canada. They joined the event on Sunday. When the race began,with the sound of the starting gun,runners ran through the Hainan Ecological Software Park and the Chengmai section of the Hainan Coastal Scenic Highway. Along the way,there were busy streets,beautiful buildings,and lovely natural views,and runners worked hard to finish the 21.0975-kilometer course. At the end of the long running,Chinese runner Zhao Xiangbo won first place in the men's group. And Zhang Kaiqin won first prize in the women's group.
To make sure the race could go well without problems,a large group of people worked together to offer help. For example,a team of 99 referees(裁判员) made sure that the rules were followed. 1 100 volunteers offered help wherever it was needed,and 24 emergency runners were ready to act quickly if emergencies happened. There were many service points,such as 13 medical stations,15 ambulances,41 AED units,four stations for drinks,three sponge cooling stations,three mist cooling stations,and two places offering food. Two hospitals were also ready to help. All these plans were made to ensure the safety and health of the runners.
