七、阅读理解。(每小题 3 分,共 15 分)
Natalie Portman,an American actress, won an Oscar. She graduated from Harvard. And she brought her first directorial(导演的)movie to the 6th Beijing International Film Festival.
However, few people realize that Portman used to have some very different moments, and they happened during her time at Harvard University.
Portman went to Harvard at the age of 18. At the time, she had been acting for five years and was already famous. But on that famous campus, she nearly lost her confidence.
She thought she could never read 1,000 pages every week or write a 50-page paper. She was shocked by her classmates—they thought that it was easy to finish the workload(工作量).
She started to think that she could go to Harvard only because she was famous. That feeling went on for two years. Luckily, things got better. In 2003,Portman graduated with a Bachelor's degree in psychology.
Portman said that the experience taught her that one should always be confident. That way,she said, you could "try things that you would never have tried".
She tried a lot of new things in her first directorial movie A Tale of Love and Darkness. She wrote part of the script. She also made the film in Hebrew(希伯来语),the language of Israel, her birthplace.
"All of these things were challenges I should have been afraid of,as I was completely unprepared," said Portman. "But once there,I had to figure it all out,and my belief that I could control these things was half the fight."
