[2024 阳泉月考]Reading plays an important role in language learning. Nowadays, more and more people take English seriously. Chen Chen is one of them. When she was a teenager, her parents couldn't afford (负担) her education. She had to find a job. As time went by, she found English was a necessary tool for her. So she picked it up again. Till now, she has studied English for a very long time and has improved her English skills by using some reading skills.
Chen is busy with her work every day, but she still spends lots of her free time learning English. At first, she couldn't speak English very well. Why? After that, she takes some notes and underlines the main idea in the text. After reading, she always writes a short summary in her own words. "This can help me understand the passage better. I have formed a good habit of reading articles," says Chen. "Reading has become an important part of my daily life."
