Ⅶ. (2025·河北唐山滦州期中)阅读理解
这些天王老师收到了来自许多学生关于梦想的信件,让我们一起看看孩子们都有哪些梦想。
Ms Wang gets many letters from students about their dreams these days. Let's have a look.
I often dream about having long legs. They would help me run faster. I like running and always join in the running races at school. But other runners always run faster than me in the big race. I try my best, but it doesn't work because of my short legs. So I want to have longer legs.
—Nancy
I want to change my pessimistic(悲观的) attitude(态度) to life. Sometimes, things are not that bad, but I take everything too seriously. Once, I thought I didn't do well in an exam. I became very sad. But when I saw the result, it was truly not good enough. But it was not as bad as I thought. I worried about it too much. I think I shouldn't be so pessimistic.
—Tony

I want to change my bad temper(脾气). Every time my mother cares about me, I always think she talks too much. Sometimes, I even have a fight with her. But I know △. I shouldn't do that. I will try to change my temper.

I am worried about my teeth. My front teeth are so big that they almost look like buckteeth(龅牙). When I take photos, I never laugh. I am afraid my classmates will laugh at me. If I had smaller teeth like other people, I would be very happy.
