China launched(发射) the Shenzhou Ⅷ spaceship on October 16, 2021. Three astronauts spent six months in the Tiangong space station. It was the longest space journey by Chinese astronauts.
During the Shenzhou Ⅷ mission(任务), Wang Yaping had a spacewalk. It was the first spacewalk by a Chinese woman. Wang Yaping became the second woman astronaut as a member of the Shenzhou Ⅹ mission in June, 2013. Liu Yang was the first Chinese woman in space. She took part in the Shenzhou Ⅸ mission in June, 2012.
Zhai Zhigang was the first Chinese astronaut to have a spacewalk. He did that in September, 2008, during the Shenzhou Ⅶ mission. And the third astronaut of the Shenzhou Ⅷ mission is Ye Guangfu. This is his first spaceflight.
